Melanie McIntyre-Holmes: Theatre Arts Director - Born and raised in Houston, Mrs. Holmes received her Bachelors of Arts with a Concentration in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin. She has an extensive directing resume and a few of her favorite past shows include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Romancers, The Crucible, and Lend Me A Tenor. One of her most proud moments as a director was when she led the UIL One Act Play, Leading Ladies to the 4A State Competition in Austin. She is also the director of the LHS Improv Troupe, "Mission: IMPROVable," and Thespian Troupe. In her free time, Mrs. Holmes enjoys traveling, spending time with family, playing with her two dogs Cupid and Monster, reading, and practicing yoga. She is currently training to become a certified yoga instructor. Mrs. Holmes is a member of The United Educators Association of Texas and The Texas Educational Theatre Association. She believes that the theatre is a place where all students can celebrate their own unique talents. | Jeremy Ferman: Mr. Ferman has worked in many areas of theatre from professional to community to highschool. He discovered his passion for teaching after working in the corporate world for a number of years. His greatest joy achieved from teaching theatre are those moments where one of the kids "gets it." That moment of understanding and realization is the best! Mr. Ferman received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Midwestern State University. His acting design and directing resume is quite long, but a few of his favorite shows to work on have been A Midsummer Night's Dream, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Moon Over Buffalo, The Importance of Being Earnest and The Crucible. Mr. Ferman is also a sponsor/director for Mission: IMPROVable and the Legacy Thespian Troupe. Mr. Ferman is a member of the Texas Educational Theatre Association, United States Institute for Theatre Technology, and the Association of Texas Professional Educators. |
