Kels ey Stokes: Ms. Stokes has had a love for theatre since high school and shares that passion with her students in class and on stage. She is an educator because she loves seeing students challenge themselves and succeed in ways they never imagined.
Ms. Stokes received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of North Texas and taught previously in Northwest ISD. While in school she did makeup/costumes designs for several shows most notably La Boheme for the UNT Opera, Dog Sees God & Alice in Wonderland: The Manhattan Project. As a director her favorites productions include Alice in Wonderland: The Manhattan Project, Step on a Crack & Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.
Ms. Stokes is a proud member of the Texas Educational Theatre Association and the United Educators of America. She believes that Theatre gives students a place to belong, an increase in self confidence and that the tools learned in class will benefit students for their entire lives regardless of career choice.
Outside of school Ms.Stokes loves volunteering at her church, watching the Animal Family Singers play shows, crafting/blogging, looking at pictures of otters on Pinterest and spending time with her amazing boyfriend Branden.
